University of Saskatchewan Athletics

Ron Stafford enrolled at the University of Saskatchewan (B.E., 1940) in 1936.

He was a member of the swimming team for four years and won his Silver Fish Award in 1938.

He was on the basketball team for three years, serving as captain in 1940. Ron played end on the Huskies football team for two years.

In 1940, Ron was awarded the Rusty McDonald Cup for leadership, sportsmanship, academics and athletics
