Karlyn (Serby) Wells is one of the track and field program’s most decorated athletes. In her five seasons with the Huskies from 2000-05, Wells won 14 Canada West medals, including eight gold. Wells would go to represent Canada at the 2005 World Universiade Games. 

At the CIS level, Wells was an 11-time medalist earning five golds. Wells helped the Huskies to the CIS team title in all five seasons earning at least one medal in each trip to the Championships. 

She was named the Pat Lawson Trophy winner in 1999-2000 as Huskie Athletics’ Female Rookie of the Year.
