University of Saskatchewan Athletics

Robert Thompson, a graudate of Bedford Road Collegiate in Saskatoon, enrolled at the University of Saskatchewan (B.S.P.E., 1977; B.Ed., 1977) in 1970.

A forward on the Huskies basketball team, Bob consistently led the team in scoring and rebounding. He was selected to the all-star team in the WCIAA three times in five years - 1971-72, 1972-73 and 1973-74.

Bob was tops in the conference in rebounding for two seasons - with a game high of 23 in 1971 - and in 1971-72 led the Huskies to first place in the East Division of the WCIAA.
