Wrestling for the Huskies from 2001 to 2006, Megan (Buydens) Hrychynshyn finished on the podium at the Canada West and national stage in all five years of competition.

Megan won four gold at the Canada West Championship and added a silver in 2004. She stood on top of the podium at the national championship twice, adding two silvers and one bronze. She won both the Canada West Student-Athlete Community Award and the Wrestler of the Year, as well as the Huskie Athletics Valerie Girsberger Award. Megan was a member of the Canadian national team from 2002 to 2013, winning nine medals.

She’s competed at the FISU Games, Commonwealth Games and Pan Am Championships.
