Gisele (Rongve) Kreuger, a graduate of Holy Cross High School in Saskatoon, enrolled at the University of Saskatchewan (B. Ed., 1984) in 1979.

Gisele was a member of the Huskiettes volleyball team for five years. She was a Canada West conference all-star four times, a Canadian Interuniversity Athletic Union All-Canadian three times and was twice named to the all-star team at nationals.

The Huskiettes won the CIAU championship in two of her seasons.

While attending the University of Saskatchewan, she was a member of the Canadian national junior team.

In 1981 and 1984, Gisele was awarded the Bob Stayner Trophy as the Huskiettes top female athlete in a tournament sport.
