Michael "Mickey" Brown, a graduate of Central Collegiate in Regina, enrolled at the University of Saskatchewan in 1960.

A playmaking centre, Mickey played on the Huskies hockey team for four years, from 1960-61 to 1963-64.

He competed in singles and doubles on the tennis team for four seasons and was consistently in the top three at both the intervarsity and provincial levels.

He received a Major Athletic Award in 1963-64.
