The Huskies won the 1998-99 Canadian Interuniversity Athletic Union (CIAU) Championship to earn the third national title in program history.

The team finished the Canada West season at 14-4. The Huskies entered the national championship as a wild card, drawing the fourth seed. The squad would get past Winnipeg 3-0 in the opening round before a tough fought 3-2 win over Alberta advanced them to the gold medal match. The Huskies knocked off Laval 3-0 in the final to claim the title.

The team had four conference all-stars in March Zacharias, Brock Pavier, Chris Bildfell and Aaron Canfield. Zacharias was also named a First Team All-Canadian.
