The 1968-69 men’s cross country team won Huskie Athletics first-ever national championship. The group of distance runners translated indoors and helped the men’s track & field team to back-to-back national titles in 1969-70 and 1970-71.

Led by freshman Logan Rogers in fourth and sophomore Bob Kochan in fifth, the Huskies placed all five scorers in the top eleven to win the 1968 CIAU cross country title in Halifax, 37 points ahead of the second-place Waterloo.
