As a student at the University of Saskatchewan, Jane first enrolled in physical education, later transferring to education. Ron studied engineering. She was a swimmer and he played quarterback on the Huskies football team.

Upon graduation in 1962, Ron began a general contracting business in Moose Jaw which he developed into the Graham Group of Companies.

He and Jane have been long time supporters of the University making contributions to both the College of Education and the College of Engineering. As well, they have donated to the U of S scholarship funds for both students at learge and Huskie basketball and football athletes in particular.

In 2006, Jane and Ron financed a new clubhouse for the Huskies football team at Griffiths Stadium featuring lockers, meeting and office rooms, laundry facilities and ticket windows. In 2010, they donated to exapnd on the clubhouse to help provide more meeting rooms and a workout facility for the football team. The centre is named the Graham Huskie Clubhouse to also acknowledge Ron's father, Peter, who played Huskies basketball and football in the 1930s.

Said Ron: "The institution made such a huge impression and difference on our lives."
