What is the Bateman Cup?
'The Bateman Cup' refers to an annual match between the Saskatchewan Huskies and Alberta Golden Bears. The Bateman Cup was established in 2016 to honour veterans from the First World War from Saskatoon and was named after Reginald John Godfrey Bateman. Bateman, a former professor at USask, was the captain of the university's soccer team prior to enlisting in 1914. Click
