Gerald Harris, a graduate of Luter College in Regina, enrolled at the University of Saskatchewan (B.A. P.E., 1973; B. Ed, 1974) in 1969.

Gerry was a member of the Huskies football team for five years, serving as co-captain for two years. A versatile athlete, he played tightend, linebacker, quarterback and punter.

He was selected a conference all-star at tight end in 1972 and 1973 and a CIAU All-Canadian in 1972 after leading the league in receptions.

Gerry went on to teach and coach at Regina Luther, his high school alma mater, and helped organize the annual LIT basketball tournament.
