Mickey Jutras won five Canada West medals and three CIS medals in his five year wrestling career from 1999 to 2003.

Competing in the 65-kg weight class, Mickey won no less than a bronze medal in his time in the Canada West and was named the Canada West Most Outstanding Male Wrestler in 2000 after a gold medal performance. He added Canada West silver medals in 1999 and 2001 and a bronze medal in 2003. In 2002, Mickey won gold in the weight class at both the Canada West and CIS Championships. He finished his career winning the CIS R.W. Pugh Fair Play Award and the Huskie Athletics Rusty McDonald Cup.

During his time with the Huskie wrestling team, Mickey also had success with the Saskatoon Hilltops as a defensive back winning Canadian junior titles in 2001 and 2002.

Mickey had success in wrestling at an early age being named a member of the provincial team for the Canada Summer Games in 1997 where the Saskatchewan wrestling team won silver. He was also the Canadian champion in the cadet age class in 1996.

Mickey graduated with Bachelor’s in both Kinesiology and Education. He added a Masters in Education in 2009.
