After returning to the Huskies for his senior season, Wiebe impressed at the Riders 2026 training camp, quickly capturing the attention of 2025 Grey Cup MVP and Saskatchewan quarterback Trevor Harris who said "I think he's got a bright future ahead of him. Couldn't be more excited for a guy like that, a local guy, but he's a baller — don't get it twisted. He's not here because he's from Saskatchewan, he's a beast."
