The Huskies women's hockey team will return home looking to build upon their tremendous west coast road swing, where they picked up six points in a weekend sweep of the UBC Thunderbirds. Saskatchewan is back at home this weekend and will take the ice tied with the Calgary Dinos for the all-important second seed in the conference. Finishing top-two in the standings is the goal for Saskatchewan, as it would grant the club a quarter-final bye and semifinal series at Merlis Belsher Place. However, the Bisons will look to spoil those plans this weekend. Manitoba will come to town desperate for a win as they are clinging on to their playoff hopes, with the club sitting eighth in the Canada West with only four games remaining.

Following their weekend split against Calgary this past weekend, Saskatchewan will look to get right back in the win column. The Huskies' eyes now shift towards finishing the regular season on a high note, with the UBC Okanagan Heat providing a tune-up of sorts before the team's season finale in Edmonton against the Alberta Pandas next weekend. However, despite an undefeated season no longer being in reach, the Huskies continue to gun for their best regular season record in program history, which the team can achieve with a 19-1 record.Â

With the Huskies playing host to their final regular-season series of 2019-20, the team will honour
JT Robinson, who is the lone fifth-year player on the roster. The Vallejo, California, native, who is playing his final pair of regular-season matchups at the PAC, sits sixth in the Canada West in scoring with 19.3 points-per-game and has been instrumental in Saskatchewan's success this season. The Huskies will look be looking for a pair of wins over UBCO, who has struggled this season with the team entering the weekend with a 3-15 record. Meanwhile, the Huskies, who have clinched a postseason spot, are looking to get back in the win column following last weekend's pair of defeats to the No. 2 ranked Calgary Dinos. The Heat might be exactly what the Huskies need to see, as Saskatchewan has never lost to the Kelowna-based program in their history.

The wins keep coming for the Huskies. After recording their seventh-consecutive victory and 15th in their last 16 games, Saskatchewan goes back on the road, which is where the team will play three of their final four games this season. Despite beginning this season with a 0-3-1 record, the Huskies have been on a roll ever since and will take the road this weekend in a tie for first place in the conference with the Alberta Golden Bears. The Huskies, who played host to the Canada West championship last season, are hoping to get a chance at redemption against their arch-rival Golden Bears on home ice. But first, Saskatchewan has unfinished business on their hands, which continues this weekend in Winnipeg. The Bisons sit in a clump of clubs battling for two playoff spots and will be fighting for the right to return to the playoffs after missing out last season. Playing away from home has been no issue for the Dogs this season, with the club holding a 9-1-1 record away from Merlis Belsher Place, a trend they will look to continue this weekend against Manitoba.

Following a pair of wins over the provincial rival Regina Cougars, the Huskies (12-6) are on the verge of clinching their first postseason appearance in over two decades. However, first up for Saskatchewan is what will be a tough matchup against the playoff-bound Mount Royal Cougars. With a 15-3 record, the Cougars are in a breakthrough season of their own and are in the thick of things atop the conference. The weekend series serves up a chance for the Huskies to measure themselves up against a program with one of the best records in the Canada West, in a clash packed with postseason implications.

The Huskies will hit the Stampede City following the team's bye week, attempting to solidify their postseason position in the Canada West. The matchup is a massive one, as the Cougars (7-11) sit on the heels of the Huskies (8-8) in the conference standings with just six games remaining in the regular season. Redemption is in mind for Saskatchewan, who had their playoff aspirations dashed last season by Mount Royal in the conference quarter-finals in Calgary. The Huskies would love nothing more than to record a pair of wins in enemy territory to help sink the postseason hopes of the Cougars in 2019-20. The coming weeks will be crucial for Saskatchewan, who after their clash against Mount Royal, will take on the playoff-bound Alberta Golden Bears at the PAC, before finishing their season in Winnipeg against the Manitoba Bisons, who as of this moment, sit on the outside looking in with a 7-11 record.
