SASKATOON - The University of Saskatchewan Huskies men's basketball team is back in the PAC for the first time in the 2019-20 season this coming weekend as they play host the MacEwan Griffins.
Â
The No. 6 ranked Huskies are looking to continue their winning ways after they took care of the Brandon Bobcats by scores of 94-81 and 87-75 to open their season. This will be the first time the Huskies are in the PAC since they took down their provincial rivals, the Regina Cougars, in two-straight games to advance to the Canada West semifinal.
Â
MacEwan opened their Canada West campaign by dropping a pair of games to the Mount Royal Cougars. The Griffins were defeated 96-80 and 102-87. MacEwan finished last season with a 1-19 record.
The Huskies last tangled with the Griffins in regular season action on Jan. 5 and 6 during the 2017-18 season. The teams split a pair of games with MacEwan taking a 101-83 victory on Friday night before the Huskies rebounded with an 82-67 victory on Saturday.
