SASKATOON – Two of the top teams in the conference are set to do battle this weekend when the Saskatchewan Huskies and Alberta Pandas clash in the PAC.
Sporting identical records of 14-2 and currently tied for first place in Canada West, the No. 5 ranked Huskies and Pandas will take to the court at 6 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday night.
Saskatchewan enters the weekend after a pair of dominant victories over Mount Royal in their last action and have won their past 10 games in a row.
Alberta meanwhile, has also been outstanding in 2018-19. The Pandas have won 12 straight-games and haven't lost since being swept by Calgary in the second weekend of the season.
These two teams last met in November of last season when the Huskies swept the Pandas by scores of 85-61 and 60-48 in Edmonton.

1: Friday night will be Bell Let's Talk night inside the PAC as the Huskies host their annual game in support of mental health awareness.

Scouting the Pandas
Two-time Canada West Coach of the Year Scott Edwards is in his 13th season in charge of the Pandas. Alberta has clinched a playoff spot and are battling with the Huskies for playoff positioning.
Alberta is a team with solid fundamentals, they sit fourth in the conference by allowing just 62.8 points per game and work hard to get to the free-throw line where they are fourth in the conference in free throws made per game.
Emma Kary leads the way with 17.3 points per game while also securing a team-high 8.3 boards per game.
