The bye week couldn't have come for a better time for the Huskies (7-7), as an injury depleted roster was swept by the Lethbridge Pronghorns in their only games of 2019. For a team that would currently be seeded fourth in the playoffs due to a strong RPI, the schedule doesn't get any easier as they travel to Calgary to take on the Mount Royal Cougars (7-9), a team that beat the Pronghorns 104-103 in their last action. Lethbridge (7-11-2) is in town this weekend and a Pronghorns team desperate for a playoff spot will go up against a Huskies team that is battling to host a quarter-finals series.

A dominant weekend sweep that saw them outscore Regina 12-2 over two games allowed the Huskies (17-3-0) to remain atop the Canada West conference by one-point over rivals Alberta. The team will now hit the road to face the Lethbridge Pronghorns (7-11-2) a squad that they dominated on home ice back in October, recording wins of 5-0 and 4-0.
