Four wins in a row have given the No. 6 Huskies (8-2) momentum as they prepare for a pivotal Canada West clash with the Timberwolves (6-2) on Thursday and Friday night. A weekend sweep of the Brandon Bobcats last weekend moved the Huskies (6-4) to No. 10 in the nation. They will close out the first half of their season with games against the UNBC Timberwolves (5-3). UNBC lost a pair of games to the Fraser Valley Cascades in their last action, a team that the Huskies swept in Saskatoon to start their season.

The No. 10 Huskies (9-4-1) remain on the road after a split with the No. 2 Manitoba Bisons in Winnipeg last weekend. It doesn't get any easier for Saskatchewan who will now face the Alberta Pandas (8-3-2), a team that they split with 1-0 & 1-2 to open their season.

The only team to beat them this season will come to Merlis Belsher Place this weekend when their rival, the No. 2 ranked Alberta Golden Bears (11-3-0) visit Saskatoon. A split on the road against the reigning national champion UBC T-Birds was key for the Huskies (4-6) as they remain firmly entrenched in a playoff battle near the halfway point of the season. They will look to take advantage of a UBCO team (0-10) that has struggled to begin the season.

Saturday, Dec. 1: vs. PR First Chance, Field House

The first action of the 2018-19 season is ahead for the Huskies men's and women's track & field squads that will attempt to shake off some rust this weekend. Saskatchewan will put 40 entries into the shortened meet that features only some of the Huskies' many events.
