Story Lines:
• The Huskies enter the semifinals coming off a 2-0 series sweep of the Golden Bears, Alberta's first-ever loss in the quarterfinals
• This weekend will mark just the fifth Canada West playoff series ever between Saskatchewan and UBC, with the Huskies owning the all-time record 3-1
• Just last season the two programs met in the semifinals in Saskatoon, which saw the Huskies take the series 2-1 (4-5 (OT), 3-2, 4-2) after winning games two and three
• Back in November, the Huskies and T-Birds met for a weekend series at MBP—their lone meeting this season—which saw the Dogs take game one 3-2 in a shootout before falling 7-4 in game two
• UBC enters the series well-rested having received a bye in both the last week of the regular season and opening round of the playoffs. Their last action came on February 7th in Edmonton with a 5-2 win over Alberta

Story Lines:
• Following an opening-round bye week, the Huskies are set to make their postseason debut this week
• This weekend's quarterfinal series will mark just the second ever meet between Saskatchewan and TWU in the postseason, with the first coming just last season
• Meeting in the Canada West Play-In last year, Saskatchewan earned a 2-1 series win (3-1, 1-3, 3-0) on their home court
• The Huskies and Spartans shared eight opponents this season, coming away with identical 11-5 records in those games, however TWU earned a slight advantage in set differential at 37-20 while Saskatchewan was 37-24

• The lone team to sweep their play-in series across the opening round of the Canada West playoffs, the Huskies booked their tickets to Langley after convincingly defeating the Brandon Bobcats (3-0, 3-1) on home court
• Saskatchewan will now take on the Spartans, the same team they closed out the regular season against just three weeks ago (L 1-3, L 0-3)
• This weekend will mark the fourth playoff series the Huskies and Spartans have met in, with the Huskies taking the most recent matchup just last season with a 2-1 (2-3, 3-2, 3-0) series win in the Canada West Quarterfinals
• Trinity Western holds the all-time head-to-head playoff record lead at 8-5 in head-to-head games
• The Spartans lost just three games in the regular season, one to each of the other three teams in Canada West's top-4 (UBC, UBCO, Alberta)

February 27-28, 2026 – U SPORTS Wrestling Canada Lutte Invitational Championships

Story Lines:
• The Huskies head to Thunder Bay, Ontario, this weekend looking to cap off an impressive season at the U SPORTS Championships
• Ranked No. 2 in the nation all season, the 2026 Canada West Champion Huskie Men's Wrestling team will look to take their momentum to nationals and attempt to knock off the No. 1-ranked and two-time defending national champion Brock Badgers
• At last year's conference championships, the Huskies brought home four individual medals, finishing 6th (men) and 7th (women) overall
