SASKATOON, Sask. – The USask Huskies are proud to announce the induction of two athletes, one builder, and two teams into the University of Saskatchewan Athletic Wall of Fame as members of the Class of 2025.
In the athlete category, Huskie Women's Hockey's Breanne George and Huskie Football's Brent Schneider will be inducted, while former Huskie Wrestling head coach Todd Hinds will be inducted as a builder. The 2009-10 Men's Basketball and the 1999-00, 2000-01 Women's Track & Field teams will enter in the team category.
The University of Saskatchewan Athletic Wall of Fame provides recognition to those outstanding individuals, builders, and teams who have not only demonstrated excellence in their athletic endeavours but have also brought distinction to the University. These exceptional individuals have been selected by the Wall of Fame selection committee after having met the criteria for their specific category.
The 2025 induction ceremony will take place on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Crossmount Cider Company. Tickets will be made available to the public at a later date.

Athlete Category
Breanne George, Women's Hockey
The most prolific scorer in program history, Breanne George was a member of the Huskie Women's Hockey team from 2007-12, recording 81 goals and 144 points. She remains the program record holder for both career goals and points, and also ranks third in conference history for career goals scored and fourth in points scored.
George also helped produce one of the most successful periods of Huskie Women's Hockey in program history, with the team finishing third-place in Canada West in 2007-08, 2008-09, and 2009-10. The 2009-10 season also saw the team finish a program-best 16-5-3 with George being named the league MVP and a CIS First Team All-Canadian.

Brent Schneider, Football
A member of the Huskie Football team from 1992-96, Brent Schneider was a member of the Huskies for one of the most successful periods in program history. With Schneider under centre, the Huskies won the Hardy Cup and reached the National Championship in both 1994 and 1996. In 1996, he led the Huskies to the second Vanier Cup title in program history, scoring 31 unanswered points in the second half to defeat St. FX 31-12.
A record-setting quarterback, Schneider is one of just three student-athletes and the lone Canada West player to be named Vanier Cup MVP twice. His 1994 MVP, which came in a 50-40 overtime loss to Western, saw the pivot set Vanier Cup records for passing yards (578), attempts (67), and completions (36), and tie the single-game touchdown mark with four majors.

Builder Category
Todd Hinds, Wrestling (Posthumous)
The second-longest serving head coach in the history of the Huskie Wrestling program, Todd Hinds rejuvenated the program upon his arrival in 1996. Under his guidance the program saw improved results, both individually and as a team, and an increased profile within CIS.
During his tenure, Hinds coached 22 student-athletes to Canada West gold medals and nine to CIS gold as national champions. He also coached 107 athletes to all-star status, 40 to become All-Canadians, and 22 conference and national Major Award winners. During the 2008-09 season, the Huskie Women's Wrestling program earned the best national placing since the program's introduction with a 3rd-place finish.
Outside of the Huskies, Hinds was an extremely accomplished wrestling coach, helping to produce nine Junior National Team members, seven Senior National team members, and three Olympic Trial Winning wrestlers among a plethora of high-performance athletes. He coached with the Saskatoon Wrestling Club, the Canadian national team for a decade, and with Olympic athletes when women's wrestling was added for the 2004 Games.

Team Category
2009-10 Men's Basketball
The 2009-10 Men's Basketball season saw the Huskies capture the program's lone Canada West and National Championship, defeating the UBC Thunderbirds 91-81 in the CIS Final 8 championship game.
Under the leadership of head coach Greg Jockims, the team finished the Canada West regular season with a 14-6 record. The Huskies would go on to defeat the UFV Cascades in two games in the Canada West quarter-finals, then the UBC Thunderbirds (104-87 in OT) and the Calgary Dinos (96-83) in the Canada West Final Four to claim the conference title. Advancing to the CIS Final 8, the team defeated the Windsor Lancers 71-68 and the Carleton Ravens 86-82 to book their ticket to the championship game.
Showron Glover was the lone Canada West All-Star for the team and was also named a CIS First Team All-Canadian. Glover, Michael Linklater, and Troy Gottselig were named CIS Final 8 Tournament All-Stars following the national championship victory, with Gottselig also being recognized as the tournament MVP.
1999-00, 2000-01 Women's Track & Field
The 1999-00 and 2000-01 Huskie Women's Track & Field teams captured the 13th & 14th Canada West titles and the 3rd and 4th National Championships in program history.
Led by the legendary head coach Lyle Sanderson, the 1999-00 season saw the Huskies capture the CIAU National Championship with an, at the time, program record 53 points on the backs of the 4x200m and 4x400m relay teams. The following season in 2000-01, the team scored 51 points and were led to a second consecutive National Championship by sprinter Kim Moffat, thrower Karla Johnson, and once again the 4x400m relay team.
Combined, the two teams totaled 26 Canada West First Team All-Stars, 7 Second Team All-Stars, 10 CIAU First Team All-Canadians, 6 Second Team All-Canadians, two CIAU Major Award Winners, four USask Huskie Major Award Winners, and two national records.
