USask Huskies are seeking a University of Saskatchewan student to join our game day team as a Videoboard Operator. This position plays an integral role in the game day production of Huskie hockey, volleyball, and basketall games.
Qualifications:
- Current University of Saskatchewan student, or enrolled at another educational institution
- Strong understanding and willingness to learn computer programs
- Ability to work in a fast, live event environment
- Knowledge of graphic design and basic skills considered an asset
- General understanding of the game of hockey considered an asset
Responsibilities:
- Operating the MotionRocket program to display needed videos on graphic on the in-venue videoboard
- Communicating with Game Director and other event staff to ensure smooth production

Position: Guest Services Coordinator
Description:
Huskie Athletics is seeking current University of Saskatchewan students with a passion for sports and working with people to lead our volunteer Guest Services team.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled at the University of Saskatchewan or other educational institution
- Ability to lead part of a team and give direction
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with an outgoing, friendly personality
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to unexpected changes
Responsibilities:
- Providing excellent customer service to fans at all Huskie Athletics events
- Monitor fan services volunteers throughout events ensure they are following policies set out in Huskie Athletics staff manual
- Preparing designated staff room for Fan Services staff at the start of each Huskie event
- Filling in and relieving staff throughout the event when breaks are needed
- Knowing and enforcing facility rules and regulations
- Assist with scheduling of, and communication to, volunteer staff on an on-going basis
- Perform other tasks as assigned

Position: Character Performer – USask Huskies Mascot
Description:
USask Huskies are seeking a current University of Saskatchewan student to perform as Howler, the Huskies mascot for the upcoming season. During games, Howler will interact with fans, work closely with promotions teams during in-game contests, and get pictures taken to enhance all-around game experience for fans.
Responsibilities:
- Be enthusiastic and high energy
- Preserve the identity of the mascot without deviating from established character including: body language/mannerisms, attitude, fan interaction
- Collaborate with Huskie Athletics’ Events Manager and Events & Game Supervisors to create and execute skits to be performed in game to enhance the game day experience
- Administer proper care of the costume and props
- Interacting with fans throughout the game/event
Skills, Traits, Qualifications:
- The ideal candidates must be around 6’ in height
- Ability to work as part of a team and take direction
- Outgoing, friendly personality
- Physically capable of performing for the duration of a Huskie game

Position: Sports Information Assistant
Description:
The USask Huskies are seeking a current University of Saskatchewan student with a passion for sports to fill the role of Sports Information Assistant. The Sports Information Assistant will work closely with the Sports Information Coordinator to fulfill game day communications and social media duties.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains and coordinates social media forums (X, Facebook, Instagram & YouTube) to promote the USask Huskies brand, teams and student-athletes.
- Assist with the management of huskies.usask.ca
- Provide live, in-game social media coverage (X, Facebook, Instagram) on USask Huskie game days
- Assist with the marketing and promotion of the USask Huskies to media representatives (local, provincial, national), alumni, sponsors, provincial sport governing bodies, national sport governing bodies, USask Huskie fans and supporters through huskies.usask.ca, all USask Huskie publications, and social media (X, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube)
- Assist with the media relations of 15 Huskie teams, including answering questions on student-athletes, Canada West and U SPORTS
- Assist in fulfilling sports information duties as per Canada West & U SPORTS regulations
- Assist in the management of the USask Huskies' statistics personnel and game day team
- Other duties as assigned
Skills, Traits, Qualifications:
- Second- or third-year University of Saskatchewan student studying business, marketing, management, journalism, or a related field with a desire to pursue a career in sports, business, or communications
- Excellent organizational, leadership, verbal and written communication skills
- A strong knowledge and passion for sport

- Detail oriented with an ability to multi-task and prioritize various responsibilities

- Producing and delivering printed box scores to coaching staff during game breaks
- Uploading game stats to CanadaWest.org and USPORTS.ca
- Inputting and managing game day rosters
- Applying necessary corrections to game stats
Skills, Traits, Qualifications:
