SASKATOON, Sask. - The University of Saskatchewan Huskies secured a second consecutive straight-sets victory over the Brandon Bobcats Saturday night (Nov. 8), earning a perfect weekend at the Physical Activity Complex. In what was another dominant win for the Huskies, the home team led the Bobcats in nearly every statistical category including lopsided advantages in points (48-39), aces (12-4), and digs (38-25). With the win, the Dogs improve to 5-3 on the season while Brandon is still in search of their first win at 0-6.
The first set saw the Huskies get off to another hot start, finishing the frame converting on 40% of attacks after building an early 7-2 lead. The team then closed out a 25-14 opening set with an 8-1 run thanks to kills from

Taryn Hannah and an ace from
Haley Poier.
After a back-and-forth start to the second, the Dogs pulled away and built a 13-7 advantage before fighting off a late Bobcats surge to take the frame 25-21. Despite Saskatchewan converting just 10% of attacks in the second, the Bobcats committed 12 errors, a match-high in a single set, to fall behind 2-0.
The third opened with the Huskies falling behind the visiting team for the first time all night as the Bobcats took an 8-6 lead. The deficit did not last long however, as Saskatchewan rattled off eight consecutive points to get back in the drivers seat. Bergstrom,
