CALGARY, Alta. – Strong defence and goaltending from both sides of the field led to a 0-0 tie between the University of Calgary Dinos and the University of Saskatchewan Huskies Saturday afternoon at the Calgary Soccer Center. 

The result keeps the Dinos unbeaten through their first 11 games to start the season, as they now move to 9-0-2 overall to remain atop the Canada West Prairie Division standings with three games to play. Saskatchewan now sits at 6-4-1 - good for the fourth and final playoff spot in the standings, also with three games to play.

In the first half, the Dinos showed their potent attack, outshooting the Huskies 14-4 in the opening 45 minutes. Their efforts were held at bay, however, by the Huskies strong defending.

The second half gave the Huskies more chances to show off their offensive skills as possession time was more balanced between the teams.

The second half also had some very good chances for the Dinos offence, with one shot sailing just over the crossbar. After the 90 minutes of action, the Dinos finished with a 21-9 edge in shots - including 7-2 in shots on goal - but had to settle for the scoreless draw.

The huskies will stay in Calgary and take on Mount Royal Sunday for a 1 p.m. contest from the MRU campus.
