SASKATOON, Sask. - University of Saskatchewan (USask) guard
Logan Reider connected on six triples to help lead the U SPORTS No. 5-ranked Huskie women's basketball team to their 11th consecutive victory, as the Dogs downed the Lethbridge Pronghorns 82-62 on the Ron & Jane Graham Centre Court Friday night (Jan. 24).
With the win the Huskies improve to 11-2 on the season and maintain their unbeaten streak which dates back to the opening weekend of the season. The victory also sees the Dogs keep pace with the Regina Cougars for the top spot in the Prairie Division.
Meanwhile the Pronghorns pick up their seventh loss of the campaign and fall below .500 at 6-7.
Logan Reider led all scorers in Friday night's game with 26 points, 18 of which came from beyond the arc thanks to a 50% three-point shooting night from the third-year education student. Reider would add eight rebounds, four assists, a block, and a steal for an all-round impressive night.
All-Canadian talent
Gage Grassick also impressed in the win over Lethbridge, recording her eighth consecutive game in double digits. Grassick totaled 14 points and earned a double-double after finding teammates for 10 assists. The fourth-year guard would also add four rebounds and three steals.

Courtney Primeau earned the first of her 2024-25 season with 12 points and 10 boards in the win. Primeau also continued her efficient shooting this season, going 4-of-7, increasing her season shooting percentage to 55.3%, the second-best in the conference.
Primeau and the Huskies combined for a 36-18 scoring advantage in the paint, one of several areas the Dogs excelled in Friday night at the PAC. Saskatchewan also held sizable advantages in points off turnovers (29-12), second chance points (20-10), and bench points (25-12) in a game in which they controlled from the first bucket.
For the visiting Pronghorns, a pair of 15-point performances led the way with Courtney McKee and Tobore Okome tying for the team-high. Kyra Collier meanwhile led the team in redbounds with 10 while coming one-point shy of a double-double.
The Huskies did not trail once in Friday's contest, building a 15-point lead by the end of the opening quarter before dictating play for the remaining 30 minutes.
Saskatchewan and Lethbridge return to the Ron & Jane Graham Centre Court tomorrow for the second game of their weekend doubleheader.
