The 2024 GFL U SPORTS Women's Hockey Championship presented by Connect Energy hits Merlis Belsher Place March 14-17. But it's not just what's happening on-ice to get hockey fans excited. Don't miss the fun and atmosphere surrounding the game!
 
Wednesday, March 13

7 p.m. – U SPORTS All-Canadian Awards at Remai Modern
  • Fireside chat with former Huskie hockey captain and current PWHL Senior Director, Partnerships, Chelsea Purcell
  • Each student-athlete will receive beaded keychains through the JNE Welding Gifting Program in partnership with the MAGPIE program at Nutana Collegiate
 
Thursday, March 14 – Huskie Game Day!
 
1 p.m.  – Quarter-final 1, TBD vs TBD, Buy Tickets
  • Cheer loud with the Sasktel School Program game! Kids from across Saskatoon and area school divisions will attend with transportation provided by First Nations Power Authority.
  • While at the game, Saskatchewan Roughrider Brayden Lenius will meet the kids to discuss Win With Wellness. The topic focuses on cyberbullying prevention and fostering healthy relationships.
7 p.m.  – Quarter-final 2, TBD vs University of Saskatchewan Huskies, Buy Tickets
  • Doors Open at 5 p.m. for the Viterra FanFest
  • FanFest includes a photobooth by Grant Romancia Photography, a poster making station, a free hot dog for all kids 12 and under, facepainting, inflatable bouncy castles, 1,000 flashing bracelets for kids courtesy of Robertson Stromberg and a sampling of Great Western 306 Mix for individuals 19 and older.
  • Puck drop for the Huskies is 7 p.m.
9 p.m. – USask student Post-Game Party at The Long Branch
  • USask students will be picked up by the Long Branch postgame. Further details available soon.

  • SaskTel School Program Game with transportation sponsored by First Nations Power Authority
  • Intermission Presentation by Saskatchewan Roughriders – Win with Wellness

Saturday, March 16 – Jammed Semifinal Saturday
10 a.m. – Consolation Semifinal 1, Loser Q1 vs Loser Q2, Buy Tickets
1 p.m. –

4 p.m. – Semifinal 1, Winner Q1 vs Winner Q2, Buy Tickets
7 p.m. – Semifinal 2, Winner Q3 vs Winner Q4, Buy Ticket
  • Cameco Step Up for Mental Health Night. Cameco will be on site to provide information about mental health grants and resources.     
 9 p.m. – Cabaret presented by Original 16, Louis Event Centre, USask Campus
  • Live entertainment by Gong Show
  • Drink specials and poutine bar

Sunday, March 17 – Championship Day

    2 p.m. – Bronze Medal Game, Loser Semifinal 1 vs Loser Semifinal 2
    6 p.m. – Gold Medal Game, Winner Semifinal 1 vs Winner Semifinal 2
  • Hockey with Heart Food Drive – bring a non-perishable food item to the game in support of the Saskatoon Food Bank. Donate three or more items to be entered to win a $200 Co-op grocery store gift card and a pair of Huskie women's hockey season tickets for 2024-25.
