No. 9-Ranked Huskie Men's Hockey Looks to Take Strong Season Start to Calgary
After a dominant opening weekend of the 2024-25 season that saw the Huskies earn two wins over the Regina Cougars by a combined score of 13-3, the Dogs now head to Alberta for an early season U SPORTS Top 10 showdown. The Huskies, ranked No. 9 in the country, will face off with the No. 4 Calgary Dinos. Despite being ranked five spots lower in the national rankings, the Huskies were ranked one spot above the Dinos in the conference's coach's poll. It's undoubtedly a matchup of Canada West heavyweights as the Dinos enter the second weekend of the season coming off back-to-back wins over the defending CW Champion UBC Thunderbirds by way of 4-3 (SO) and 5-2 wins.
