SASKATOON, SK – The Huskies (0-3-1) came into the weekend looking for their first win of the regular season. The UBCO Heat (1-3-0) came out to visit Griffiths Stadium in Nutrien Park for Saskatchewan's "All Around the World" game. With support from various community organizations, Saskatchewan created a culturally inclusive atmosphere in the park and highlighted talent from around the world.
The Dogs managed to overcome the Heat and chalk up a big win on their turf.
Saskatchewan opened the scoring action early in the contest with veteran midfielder,
Diego Reveco, sending a ball to the back of UBCOs net thanks to an assist by
Ahmed Mohammed.
The contest carried on with the Heat behind by one until the 88
th minute –
Rajesh Rodney added to the Dogs lead when he snatched his first goal of the season.
