Saskatoon – The Huskies took on the visiting MRU Cougars on a gorgeous October afternoon in Saskatoon.
The Huskies looked to come out blazing when
Alyssa D'Agnone when on a breakaway within seconds of the kickoff but was unable to get a shot off.
The Huskies continued to lay on the pressure putting seven shots on target in the opening 45 minutes but were unable to beat MRU's keeper Lizzy Knight leading to a 0 – 0 game heading into the half.
The second half again opened with the Dog laying on the pressure but could still not break Knight early.
In the 81st minute the Huskies got their chance with
Naleya Kobussen getting one through and scoring on a beautiful shot from 12 yards out to get Saskatchewan on the board. This gave the Huskies the lead and their fifth win on the season.
Nadia Kalyar recorded the clean sheet for the Huskies, the first in Kalyar's U SPORTS career stopping all seven shots faced. Lizzy Knight was in net for MRU stopping 11/12.

Jerson Barandica-Hamilton was happy with the performance against a tough Cougars squad.
Barandica-Hamilton noted that "MRU is a good team, and we knew they would come at us, and we would have to weather the storm and I just loved the resiliency to find a way to win with this young group at this time of year is important and they got what they deserved"
