SASKATOON ­– A group of players that know each other all too well are set to go head-to-head once again when the No. 9 ranked University of Saskatchewan Huskies host the No. 8 Regina Rams inside Griffiths Stadium on Sept. 21.
 
Not only will the contest be a battle for Saskatchewan bragging rights but it will also have massive implications on the Canada West standings, with the Huskies and Rams tied for second place in the conference with records of 2-1.
 
The Huskies come into the weekend looking to bounce back after a close loss to the No. 3 Calgary Dinos last week, while the Rams enter the contest with the momentum of two-straight victories.
 
5 Things

1) This will be the 31st conference regular season meeting between the two
provincial rivals and the Huskies hold a 22-8 lead in the series.

2) Both teams are ranked in the top-10 in the nation, with Rams No. 8 and the
Huskies No. 9.

3) At halftime the winner of the Wyant Group Ultimate Tailgate Party will be
announced.

4) Colton Klassen was named the Huskie Athlete of the Week for his 237
all-purpose yards, two touchdown performance last week.

5) Saskatchewan has seven players on their roster from Regina while the

• The Rams are 2-1 on the season. After begining the year with a loss to the Calgary
Dinos they have rebounded with back-to-back victories over Alberta and UBC.
 
• They come into the contest second in the conference in total offence, yards per game
and passing yards per game.
 
• When it comes to the redzone look for the Rams to hand the ball off, they lead the
conference in rushing touchdowns are just fourth in passing touchdowns.
 
• Fifth-year quarterback Noah Picton spreads the ball around, with three recievers in
double-digits for receptions and both Ryan Schienbein and Kyle Moortgat over 20.
