Huskie Athlete of the Week (Nov 19, 2018):
University of Saskatchewan quarterback Kyle Siemens was lights out in the final game of his five year Huskie career in a 47-24 loss in the national semifinal.
The fifth year from Saskatoon went 26-35 through the air for two touchdowns. The Kinesiology student twice found Colton Klassen in the endzone and finishes his Huskies career second in Huskies career passing yards with 7931.
Siemens and the Huskies finished the 2018 season as the Canada West Champions for the first time since 2006.
Huskie Athlete of the Week (September 17, 2017):
Fourth-year quarterback Kyle Siemens led the Huskies to a 2-0 start after throwing five touchdown passes in a 43-17 win over the Alberta Golden Bears.
Siemens completed 19-of-27 passes for 271 yards. It is the second straight weekend Siemens has put his name on the Huskies'' all-time touchdown passes list in a game. A week earlier, he threw four.
The Huskies travel to meet the UBC Thunderbirds next weekend.
Huskie Athlete of the Week (September 4, 2017):
Fourth-year quarterback Kyle Siemens led the Huskies to the first win of the 2017 football season after throwing for 419 yards and four touchdowns in a 44-23 road win over the Manitoba Bisons.
Siemens completed 31-of-40 passes for the 419 yards. He added a touchdown of his own on a 10-yard run into the end zone.
The Huskies return home to host the Alberta Golden Bears September 8th in the Alumni Association Homecoming.
Huskie Athlete of the Week (October 24, 2016):
Third-year quarterback Kyle Siemens led the Huskies to a spot in the 2016 Canada West postseason with the first win over the Calgary Dinos in nine games. Saskatchewan won 38-35 on Saturday afternoon in Calgary.
Siemens completed 25-of-38 passes for 359 yards. He recorded two touchdown passes.
The Huskies return home to host the Alberta Golden Bears October 28th in the final game of the regular season.
Huskie Athlete of the Week (October 26, 2015):
Second year University of Saskatchewan Huskie quarterback Kyle Siemens had a first career start to remember Friday night in Saskatoon.
Siemens completed an all-time Huskie record 44 passes in 67 attempts in a tough 41-36 loss to the No. 9 ranked UBC Thunderbirds. The Saskatoon, Sask. native threw for 520 yards, the fourth best game by a Saskatchewan quarterback, and three majors.
