With the Canada West standings in flux after the
news of the Regina Cougars forfeiting three games, the Huskies head to Vancouver with a lot on the line. Ranked No. 8 in the nation, the Huskies (3-2) currently hold onto second place in the standings but are just one game clear of the Thunderbirds (2-3). Both teams enter the weekend after a Thanksgiving bye.

Starting the season with a split at home against the Alberta Pandas, the No. 7 Huskies (1-1-0) will hit the road for the first time in 2018-19 for a pair of games against the Calgary Dinos (0-2-0). The Huskies have surrendered just two goals through their opening two games this season.

After an early bye last weekend, the No. 3 Huskies will get their first opportunity to play in the brand new Merlis Belsher Place when they welcome the Calgary Dinos to Saskatoon. Both the Huskies and Dinos are (1-1-0) at this early stage in the season.

Two perennial powerhouses will make their way to Saskatoon this weekend when the Huskies (2-4-4) host the UBC Thunderbirds (8-2-0) and Victoria Vikes (4-5-1). Saskatchewan will come into the game with momentum on their side after they swept the Regina Cougars last weekend.

After a weekend off, the Huskies will return to the field looking to continue their climb up the Canada West standings. Saskatchewan (3-6-1) will head to Lethbridge for a weekend series against the Pronghorns (0-8-2). Saskatchewan is currently in a three-way tie for third in the conference with one of either themselves, Mount Royal or MacEwan destined to miss out on the playoffs.

The first exhibition action of the season is ahead for the reigning U SPORTS silver medallist Huskies. First up on their slate is a game against a Regina Cougars team that they defeated in the U SPORTS National Championship semifinals last spring.

The Huskies will host the Lakeland Rustlers as they play their first home game of the exhibition season. Saskatchewan was last in action two weekends ago, when they went 1-2 at the Guy Vetrie Memorial Tournament in Victoria, B.C.

The Huskies will play an exhibition game against Huskie Alumni inside the PAC on Friday night. So far Saskatchewan has played eight games in a busy exhibition schedule.
