SASKATOON – The University of Saskatchewan Huskies football team will play host to the Manitoba Bisons at Griffiths Stadium in Nutrien Park.
Both programs will be entering the game with their sights set on a bounce back in the win column, as the Huskies are fresh off 20-10 defeat at the hands of the UBC Thunderbirds in week six. Meanwhile, Manitoba was on the wrong end of their clash against the No. 3 ranked Calgary Dinos, as they dropped the contest by a score of 34-16.
The matchup will serve as the second clash of the Canada West campaign between the two teams. In week two of the season, the Huskies snuck out of enemy territory with a 48-46 victory over the Bisons in what was a thrilling football game filled with offensive fireworks.
The game will carry enormous playoff implications, as both teams are entering the stretch run in the regular season with matching 3-3 records. With a victory, the Huskies could jump ahead of the Bisons, as well as control the tiebreaker between the two teams as they would then own the head-to-head record.

4: The Bisons have defeated the Huskies in three of their last four regular season matchups at Griffiths Stadium.
5: Jamal Lyles has paced the offense for the Bisons, as the third-year back leads the Canada West in rushing yards per game with 109. Lyles also leads the conference in carries resulting in gains of 10 or more yards with 13.

Manitoba is currently tied for second-place with UBC and Saskatchewan with a 3-3 record in the Canada West and will be aiming to return to the post-season for the first time since the 2015-16 season.
The Bisons will be looking for revenge in Saskatoon on Saturday afternoon as they will take the field looking to return the favour after the Huskies stole a win out of Investor's Group Field in week two.
Third-year quarterback Des Catellier has thrived under centre for Manitoba, as he currently ranks second in the Canada West in both passing yards with 1870 and passing touchdowns with 16.
Dylan Schrot has excelled in his second year in Winnipeg with the program, as the former Calgary Colt leads the team in receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns.
