Huskie Athlete of the Week (Oct 9, 2018):
University of Saskatchewan defender Kalli Cowles provided both stability at the heart of the Huskie defence as well as some offensive firepower this past weekend.
The third year from Prince Albert, SK recorded two points as the Huskies swept their provincial rivals, the Regina Cougars. Cowles played a beautiful long ball to record an assist in the Huskies’ first win of the season, 1-0, on Friday. On Saturday Cowles went one step further and registered the lone goal on a diving header to lead the Huskies to a 1-0 win.
Cowles and the Huskies are back in action this coming weekend when they host the UBC Thunderbirds and Victoria Vikes on Oct. 13 & 14.
