Huskie Athlete of the Week (March 13, 2017):

Fourth-year forward Megan Lindquist was named Player of the Game in all three games at the U SPORTS women''s basketball Final 8 in Victoria on the weekend.

In Friday''s 69-59 quarter-final loss to Laval, the Arts & Science student tallied 13 points, six rebounds and one block in 40 minutes. She added another 11 points, five rebounds and 1 steal in a 65-51 win over the Cape Breton Capers in the consolation semifinal. In the consolation final 79-76 loss to the Regina Cougars, Lindquist recorded 18 points, seven rebounds and four assists.

The young Saskatchewan Huskies squad finished sixth at the tournament.

Huskie Athlete of the Week (January 9, 2017):

Fourth-year  forward Megan Lindquist helped the Huskies to a weekend upset sweep over the No. 10 ranked UBC Thunderbirds with 28 points. 

In Friday’s 68-46 win, Lindquist tallied 10 points, six rebounds, two blocks, one steal and one assist.  A night later in a 73-69 win, the Arts & Science student from Saskatoon recorded a team-high 18 points, three rebounds, two blocks, one steal and one assist.

Lindquist and the Huskies travel to Lethbridge to meet the Pronghorns next weekend.
