Fifth-year setter Mackenzie Pek helped the University of Saskatchewan Huskies to a weekend split with the Trinity Western Spartans recording 69 assists in the matches.

In Friday''s 3-2 (25-17, 21-25, 21-25, 25-12, 15-11) loss, the Arts & Science student from Moose Jaw, Sask., recorded 40 assists, nine digs, two kills and 1.5 blocks. A night later in a 3-0 (25-20, 25-23, 25-22) win, Pek recorded another 29 assists, six digs, two kills and two block assists.

Pek and the Huskies travel to meet the Brandon Bobcats next weekend.
