Huskie Athlete of the Week (November 20, 2017):
University of Saskatchewan forward Josh Roach helped the Huskies to a weekend split in a battle of the U SPORTS Top 10 teams with the Alberta Golden Bears.
In Friday’s 6-1 loss, the fifth-year Education student assisted on the Huskies’ lone goal in the game. A night later in a 4-0 win, Roach scored Saskatchewan’s third goal at 19:34 in the second period and added an empty net goal at 19:20 in the third. He also assisted on the second goal of the game for the Huskies.
Roach and the No. 3 ranked Huskies (9-2-1) travel to Calgary to meet the Mount Royal Cougars next weekend.

University of Saskatchewan forward Josh Roach helped keep the Huskies perfect in the Canada West men''s hockey season recording six points in a weekend sweep over the Lethbridge Pronghorns.
In Friday''s 4-3 double overtime win, the fifth-year Education student scored the Huskies'' second goal at 10:28 in the first and assisted the second goal. A night later in a 5-2 victory, Roach scored at 18:11 on the power play in the second period and at 13:39 in the third period. He also assisted on the first and third goals.
Roach and the No. 3 ranked Huskies (4-0) travel to Winnipeg to meet the Manitoba Bisons next weekend.
Huskie Athlete of the Week (October 10, 2017):
University of Saskatchewan forward Josh Roach recorded two goals and three assists to help the Huskies open the Canada West men’s hockey season 2-0.
The fifth-year Education student scored the Huskies’ final goal at 18:42 in the third period in an 8-2 win over the Regina Cougars to open the Canada West season. He also assisted on the Huskies’ fifth goal of the game.
On Saturday in a 6-0 win over the Cougars, Roach added another goal and two assists scoring the Huskies’ third goal at 6:59 in the third period. He assisted on the first and fifth goals of the game.
Roach and the Huskies remain at home to host the Lethbridge Pronghorns at Rutherford Rink.
Huskie Athlete of the Week (November 9, 2015):
Third-year University of Saskatchewan forward Josh Roach scored the game-winning goal in back-to-back games to lead the Huskies to a weekend sweep of the Mount Royal Cougars.
Roach finished the weekend a +2 with two goals, two assists and four shots on net.
With less than a minute to go in Friday night''s game, the Saskatoon, Sask. native redirected a shot from the point into the Cougar net for his first goal of the season.
Roach notched his second game winner in as many nights with a blast from the point on Saturday. His shot ricocheted off the post and into the net just over a minute into the third to give the Huskies a 2-1 lead.
