Huskie Athlete of the Week (January 30, 2017):
Fifth-year forward Matt Forbes recorded two double-doubles in a weekend sweep over the visiting Mount Royal Cougars.
The Regina Beach, Sask., product scored 26 points and 12 rebounds in 33 minutes in an 82-62 win on Friday night. A night later in the 90-87 win, the Education student tallied 20 points and 12 rebounds in 28 minutes. He also added three blocks and two steals in the weekend series.
The Huskies remain at home to host the Alberta Golden Bears on February 3-4.
Huskie Athlete of the Week (January 23, 2017):
Fifth-year forward Matt Forbes recorded 40 points and 15 rebounds in a weekend split with the No. 5 ranked Calgary Dinos on the road.
The Regina Beach, Sask., product scored 18 points and seven rebounds in 33 minutes in an 82-69 loss on Friday night. A night later in a 83-81 win, the Education student tallied 22 points and eight rebounds in 36 minutes. He also added four assists and two steals in the weekend series.
The Huskies return home to host the Mount Royal Cougars on January 27-28.
