Saskatoon Sports Hall of Fame 2016 inductee Duane Dmytryshyn joins the Huskies as receivers coach.

A local teacher, Dmytryshyn played with the Huskies from 1989-92 winning the first University of Saskatchewan Huskies’ Vanier Cup in 1990 as a running back. He went on to play slotback for the Toronto Argonauts, winning the Grey Cup in 1996 and 1997. 

In his four years at university, the Huskies won the league football title three times. Dmytryshyn led Canada West in receptions in his senior year with the Huskies and was named an All-Canadian. He scored 23 career touchdowns in the regular season and playoffs, ranking fourth on the Huskies' all-time list.

Dmytryshyn played eight years in the CFL, starting with the Calgary Stampeders, going to Toronto, and ending with the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
