Family in Sport - Ben''s grandfather Don Brock was member of the ''59 Huskies Football team. Elder brother Sam Whiting is an alum of the Huskies soccer team, while younger brother Tom is a teammate of Ben''s with the Huskies.

Huskie Athlete of the Week (September 4, 2017):

Ben Whiting helped the University of Saskatchewan Huskies defence hold the Manitoba Bisons to just 23 points in a 44-23 win to open the 2017 Canada West football season.

The third-year linebacker tallied five tackles, one forced fumble and one breakup in the game.

Whiting and the Huskies return home to host the Alberta Golden Bears September 8th in the Alumni Association Homecoming.
