Huskie Athlete of the Week (10-17-2016):
Receiver Mitch Hillis tallied 175 receiving yards on 10 catches to lead the Huskies to a 40-10 win over the UBC Thunderbirds Friday night in Saskatoon.
The fourth-year Kinesiology student was just three-yards away from matching his career-best. His longest catch was a 77-yard touchdown catch at 12:22 in the fourth quarter. He also scored on a 10-yard catch at 7:28 in the third.
Saskatchewan (3-3) travels to meet the Calgary Dinos (5-1) next weekend.
Huskie Athlete of the Week (09-21-2015):
Third-year University of Saskatchewan receiver Mitch Hillis hauled in nine passes for 135 yards and a pair of touchdowns to lead the Huskies to their first win of the season Friday night.
With the Huskies trailing the Regina Rams in the second quarter, Hillis caught his first of two majors on the night to give Saskatchewan a lead that would not be lost. The Saskatoon, Sask. native grabbed his second touchdown early in the fourth quarter to help seal a Huskie win.
Hillis finished the night with 135 yards, averaging 15 yards per reception.
