Huskie Athlete of the Week (Oct. 05, 2021):
Maya Gabruch continued her spectacular form scoring three times and assisting one goal this weekend against the University of Winnipeg. The fifth-year forward continues to shine in what has been an incredible Huskies career.
Huskie Athlete of the Week (Sept 16, 2019):
University of Saskatchewan midfielder Maya Gabruch continued her torrid start to the season last weekend, scoring a pair of goals to give her a conference-best five through four games.
On Saturday the kinesiology major scored the insurance marker with a long-range effort to help Saskatchewan defeat UNBC 3-1 and followed that up with the lone Huskie goal in a tight 2-1 loss to Calgary.
Gabruch and the Huskies are back in action this coming weekend when they travel West to face the UVic Vikes and UBC Thunderbirds
Huskie Athlete of the Week (Sept 9, 2019):
University of Saskatchewan midfielder Maya Gabruch jumped to the top of the Canada West scoring charts with an outstanding season-opening weekend.
The fourth year from Saskatoon scored three of the Huskies’ five goals on the weekend. On Friday night the kinesiology major scored the game-winning goal in a 2-1 win over Manitoba and followed that up with a pair of goals in a dominant 4-0 victory over Winnipeg.
Gabruch and the Huskies are back in action this coming weekend when they host the UNBC Timberwolves (Sep. 14) and the Calgary Dinos (Sep. 15).
Huskie Athlete of the Week (Sept 10, 2018):
University of Saskatchewan midfielder Maya Gabruch had an outstanding start to the Canada West season last weekend.
The third year from Saskatoon, SK played in all 180 minutes of the Huskies’ ties against the Winnipeg Wesmen (2-2) and Manitoba Bisons (1-1). Gabruch scored the first goal of the season for Saskatchewan with a great individual effort on Saturday and was an ever-present threat throughout their game on Sunday.
Gabruch and the Huskies are back in action this coming weekend when they travel to face the MacEwan Griffins (Sep. 14) and UNBC Timberwolves (Sep. 16).
