Huskie Athlete of the Week (November 7, 2016):
Fourth-year University of Saskatchewan outside hitter Emmalyn Copping helped lead the Huskies to a weekend sweep of the MacEwan Griffins recording 29 kills and 12 digs in the series.
In Friday’s 3-0 (26-24, 25-16, 25-19) win, Copping tallied 11 kills, five digs and three service aces. A night later in a 3-1 (25-23, 25-15, 19-25, 25-20) win, the Arts & Science student recorded 18 kills, seven digs and one service ace.
Copping and the Huskies (2-2) have a weekend bye. They return to the court November 18-19 in Regina against the Cougars.
Huskie Athlete of the Week (November 22, 2015):
Third-year University of Saskatchewan outside hitter Emmalyn Copping helped the Huskies to a weekend sweep of the Calgary Dinos, leading both teams in kills in back-to-back matches.
Copping helped end the Huskies six match losing skid with a 22 kill performance on Friday night, leading Saskatchewan to a 3-1 win. The Arts & Science student showed her defensive skill as well in the match, leading both sides with 15 digs. Copping accounted for 23 of the Huskies 70 points in the match.
On Saturday Copping was at it again, leading Saskatchewan with a match-high 16 kills. Copping helped the Huskies recover from a 2-1 deficit to take the match 3-2.
