Huskie Athlete of the Week (Sept. 25, 2017):
Fifth-year striker Leesa Eggum helped the University of Saskatchewan Huskies to an undefeated weekend scoring three goals.
The Nursing student from Saskatoon scored in the 86th and 90th minutes in a comeback 2-1 win over the Lethbridge Pronghorns Saturday. The Huskies had trailed in the game from the 25th minute. A day later in a 1-1 tie with the Calgary Dinos, Eggum scored the Huskies lone goal in the 34th minute.
Eggum and the Huskies travel to meet the Mount Royal Cougars and Alberta Pandas next weekend.
Huskie Athlete of Week (Sept. 18, 2017):
Fifth-year striker Leesa Eggum helped the University of Saskatchewan Huskies to a weekend sweep scoring two goals and one assist.
The Nursing student from Saskatoon scored in the 19th and 39th minutes in a 3-0 win over the Thompson Rivers WolfPack Saturday. She added four shots on goal in her 45 minutes of play. A day later in a 5-0 win over the UBC Okanagan Heat, Eggum assisted on the Huskies'' second goal in the 19th minute. She had one shot on goal in her 60 minutes of play.
Eggum and the Huskies remain at home to host the Lethbridge Pronghorns and Calgary Dinos.
