OTTAWA, Ont. – Later this week, the University of Saskatchewan (USask) Huskies will once again be represented on an international stage. Five members of the Huskie Wrestling team are set to represent Canada in the 2026 U23 Pan-American Wrestling Championship, taking place June 11-12 in Lima, Peru, Wrestling Canada Lutte announced Tuesday.
Sierra Mullin (Saskatoon, SK),
Abby Wolff (Saskatoon, SK),
Taebyn Tulp (Saskatoon, SK), and
Donovan Neudorf (Prince Albert, SK) make up the contingent of competitors headed to Peru, while Huskie Head Coach Daniel Olver will join the quartet as a member of the Team Canada coaching staff.
"Wrestling Canada Lutte is excited to see one of our youngest U23 teams test themselves against some of the top athletes in the Pan American region," said Chris Woodcroft, WCL High Performance Director
via SIRC.ca. "For many members of this team, this will be their first opportunity to represent Canada internationally, making this a significant step in their development. Providing athletes with meaningful international competition experience is essential to their long-term growth, and building a deeper pool of internationally tested athletes will be a key factor in strengthening our performances in the years ahead."
The championship officially gets underway Thursday, with the first day of the tournament set to feature all freestyle qualification rounds, repechages, and finals.
Donovan Neudorf, who recently completed his final season of eligibility with the Huskie Wrestling team, will be the first Huskie to take the mats in Peru, competing out of the 65kg freestyle weight class.
One of just seven Huskies to earn conference All-Star status in all five years of eligibility, Neudorf recently earned his best-ever finish at the U SPORTS Invitational Championships, closing out his career with a national silver medal to go along with five at the Canada West Championships. A staple of the program for the past five years, Neudorf set the standard for a student-athlete and was also named a four-time Academic All-Canadian and twice recognized as the U SPORTS Community Service Award winner.
Friday will then feature a trio of returning student-athletes competing in the women's wrestling division, with the day once again featuring all qualification, repechages, and finals matches.
Beginning with the 53kg weight class,
Sierra Mullin enters the championships as the most decorated of the three Huskies. A Four-time Canada West medalist and two-time individual conference champion (2025, 2024), Mullin recently became the fifth athlete to come through the Huskie Women's wrestling team and earn four conference All-Star nods in her green & white career. She also went on to secure a bronze medal at the 2026 U SPORTS Invitational Championships, earning her third national podium appearance.
The 55kg weight class will he headlined by soon-to-be third-year student-athlete
Abby Wolff. Another successful member of the Huskie Wrestling team, Wolff burst onto the scene as a rookie in 2024, capturing gold at the Canada West Championships before being named the conference rookie of the year and securing a silver medal at the national championships.
Finally,
Taebyn Tulp rounds out the group of competitors representing USask. Also heading into her third season, the education and kinesiology major is featured in the 72kg weight class. Tulp experienced a strong rookie season a year ago, earning a bronze medal at the Canada West Championships, before making a podium appearance in all four meets of the 2026 season.
Finally, for Huskie Head Coach Daniel Olver, the Pan-American Championships join a long list of international appearances for the five-time Canada West Coach of the Year who is coming off season in which he led the Huskie men to a seventh conference title.
