Huskies Well Represented on Team Saskatchewan Athletics at 2025 Jeux Canada Games

SASKATOON, Sask. - The University of Saskatchewan (USask) Huskies are proud to announce that 31 student-athletes, 15 women and 16 men, from the Huskie Track & Field Program have been selected to represent Team Saskatchewan at the 2025 Canada Summer Games in St. Johns, Newfoundland from August 8-25, 2025.

13 Canada West All-Stars and 5 U SPORTS All-Canadians are among those student-athletes selected to represent the province, with three-time All-Canadian and five-time Canada West All-Star Grace Igbiki leading the way. Igbiki is joined by All-Canadian Selena Keyowski and Rachel Albertson, and Canada West All-Stars Chelsea Ells, Olamide Olaloku, and Timi Adelugba.

In addition to the group of current student-athletes on Team Sask, four incoming Huskie Track & Field recruits will also don the provincial colours in St. Johns and give Huskie fans a sneak peek at what is to come this season. On the women's side, Hailee Woodhouse will compete in the 200m and 400m, while Corbin Unruh (High Jump), Niklos Irwin (400m), and Rowan Reimer (400m hurdles) will compete on the men's side.

"Seeing our student-athletes, coaches, and alumni continue to represent our program and institution as part of Team Saskatchewan is an amazing accomplishment. I am extremely proud to see so many Huskies going to St. John's and know that this will be not only an amazing experience for them but also aid in their development to the benefit our Huskie program in the coming years," said Huskie Track & Field Head Coach Jason Reindl.

The Huskies will also be well represented in the Team Sask coaching staff, with three current USask coaches and two alumni set to make the trip out east. Huskie Track & Field Lead Endurance Coach Jamie Epp will serve as Head Coach and will be joined by current assistants Jayden Wiebe (combined events) and Taylor McGregor (women in coaching apprenticeship) in addition to alumni Jared Olson (sprints/hurdles) and Rebecca Atkinson (throws).
