SHERBROOKE, Que. - Saturday afternoon (Nov. 8) the University of Saskatchewan Huskie Cross Country teams took to the track at the Stade de l'Université de Sherbrooke, home of the Sherbrooke Vert et Or, for the 2025 U SPORTS Cross Country Championships. The Huskie men came home to finish 16th overall in the team standings while the USask women finished in 19th.
RESULTS
For the Huskie men's team,
Anthony Antaya led the way improving upon a 37th-place finish a year ago to cross the finish line in 30th.
Alexander Webster (53rd),
Ben House (105th),
Jayvin Cross Child (118th),
Jacob White (119th), and
Bennett Friesen (132nd) came home to round out the Huskie scorers, resulting in a 16th-place finish in the team standings.
Saskatchewan was also represented among the major award winners, with
Alexander Webster being named the 2025 Student-Athlete Community Service Award winner.
On the women's side
Morgan Tiede was the first Huskie across the finish line, coming in 83rd-place with a time of 30:44.
Brooklyn Roney (105th), Nathalie Toledo (108th),
Angelina Beveridge-Warick (124th),
Kyra Shelton (155th),
Petra Tymko (160th), and
Attleigh Maloney (163rd) rounded out the Saskatchewan scorers to bring home a 19th-place finish as a team.
The Queen's Gaels secured the national title on the men's side, while the Victoria Vikes took home the banner on the women's.
