Former quarterback turned NFL coach Sean Payton to headline event

February 14, 2024

SASKATOON, SK – The Huskie Football Foundation is excited to announce special guest and NFL coach, Sean Payton. Payton is scheduled to take the green and white stage at the Staybridge Suites & Holiday Inn Express University Dogs' Breakfast XXII, on May 2, 2024 at Prairieland Park.

"It's always an exciting moment when we reveal our speakers, and this year is certainly no exception," said Committee Chair, John Hyshka. "We're keeping the Breakfast's momentum alive, and what better way to amplify it than by welcoming Sean Payton, a revered figure in NFL coaching, to our city and province? This opportunity is truly unparalleled, and we couldn't be more thrilled to welcome Sean to Saskatoon this May."

The Huskie Football Foundation was created in 2001 with a goal of raising money for scholarships and academic assistance to support the University of Saskatchewan Huskie Football team. The main fundraising event for the Huskie Football Foundation is the Dogs' Breakfast. The event is one of the top football fundraisers in Canada. Every year, net proceeds raised go to supporting the education and team enhancements for the Huskie Football Student-Athletes.

"Sean Payton's participation not only elevates the event but garners increased attention and interest from potential supporters, increasing the Foundation's ability to support our student-athletes," said Head Coach of Huskie Football, Scott Flory. "In our highly competitive landscape, the successes of the Huskie Football Foundation and the Dogs Breakfast directly impact our performance on the field. We value the ongoing support from everyone involved!"
