Box Score CALGARY, AB – The Saskatchewan Huskies are back in Alberta this weekend, after two wins in Lethbridge last weekend. Ranked seventh nationally, the Huskies would cruise to a 83-57 win over the Calgary Dinos on Friday night.
Saskatchewan jumped out to an early lead right from the first whistle, going up 22-15 after the first quarter. Calgary battled back early in the second as a three pointer by
Myriam Kone drew things to 28-22 with 7:20 left in the second. The Huskies got hot from there, though, ripping off an 18-6 run to finish the first half and carrying a 46-28 lead at the break.
The third quarter saw some strong offence from the Huskies, grabbing twenty points in the quarter. The defence kept the Dinos to just half that, as they would score just ten points in the quarter. The Huskies would have a comfortable 30 point lead heading into the fourth.
Calgary's cold shooting carried into the second half as the Huskies continued to build on their lead before a strong fourth-quarter performance gave the Dinos something to build on going into Saturday's rematch.
The Huskies now more to 11-2 on the year, while the Dinos drop to 10-5.

Maya Flindall led scoring with 21 points in Friday's match.
Kyla Shand had a strong double double, with 17 points, 12 rebounds and two monster blocks for the Huskies.
Myriam Kone made the most impressive play of the night, a Hail Mary three-pointer that got the home crowd to their feet. Kone led the Calgary women with 13 points. Pollyanna Storie had 10 points, three rebounds and three blocks.
