SASKATOON – The USask Huskies took on the UFV Cascades here at home on a sunny Sunday afternoon at Griffiths Stadium in Nutrien Park.
The Huskies could not keep up with the University of Fraser Valley as they defeated the hometown Huskies by a score of 5-3.
The Cascades came out hot and put on themselves on the board just 8-minutes into the match. Saskatchewan would not play from behind for long as
Kuhle Bekwayo scored his second goal of the weekend to tie it for the Huskies in the 10
th minute.

Diego Reveco was hauled down in the box just 6 minutes after Bekwayo's goal and finished on the penalty kick to give the Huskies the lead and chalk up Reveco's first goal of the season.
Fraser Valley came right back with a goal of their own from Carson Muter in the 21st minute. Mikael Mainella would give the Cascades the lead again in the 38th minute to round out the scoring in the action packed first half.
In the second half the excitement would continue as
Ajani Fountaine found the back of the net for his first of the season in the 49
th minute. Fraser Valley carried on the action bu striking back just 1 minute later with Mateo Brazinha hopping in on the goal scoring with his second goal of the season.
The goal scoring continues with Manpal Brar extending the Cascades lead in the 68
th minute and put the game just out of reach for the Huskies.
Both teams chalked up 11 shots on net which served to challenge
Jaron Slopinski who got the start in net for the Huskies and Jackson Cowz who got the start on the other end of the pitch.
The Dogs pushed through to the very last minute but ultimately, the goal filled matchup got away from the Huskies giving the Cascades the win.
