WHKY: Huskies win 2-1 over Cougars

REGINA, SK - In another U Prairie Challenge game between two provincial rivals, the Saskatchewan Huskies prevailed over the Regina Cougars 2-1 on Saturday night at The Co-operators Centre. 

The Huskies opened scoring just over two minutes into the first period when Kendra Zuchotzki scored on a shot from right above the circle. Mallory Dyer would extend the lead to two when a Zuchotzki shot hit Kennedy Brown, then when right to Dyer who knocked it on the backhand. 

Hanna Pennell scored her fourth of the season for the Cougars with six minutes left in regulation. The Cougars weren't able to find the equalizer and the Huskies would go on to the 2-1 win. 

The Saskatchewan Huskies swept the series, adding tonight's win to Friday night's 4-1 victory over the Cougars. The Huskies will head back home to Saskatoon and look towards next weekend's match up against the MacEwan Griffins. Games will run Friday and Saturday night at 7:00 PM at Merlis Belsher Place.
